Needi Merchant Spotlight: Gåva – Thoughtful Gifting with a Scandinavian Twist

That’s why we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Gåva – a brand that’s bringing a touch of Scandinavian charm to UK gifting, one beautifully designed, reusable Easter egg (and much more!) at a time.

We caught up with Gåva’s co-founder, Jessica Dahlin to hear more about the story behind the brand, their favourite products, and the inspiration that keeps them going.

1. What inspired you to start your business? 

After moving to the UK from Sweden over 25 years ago, I was on the hunt for some Swedish Easter Eggs for my kids in 2021. But the ones I found didn’t quite have the design or quality I was looking for. So, together with my best friend who still lives in Sweden, we decided to create our own range of sustainable Easter Eggs – ones that could be used year after year, like a Christmas stocking (but much better looking!). As we’ve grown, we’ve also added Christmas and Valentine’s collections, and now we offer fully bespoke products, perfect for corporate gifts.

2. What's your favourite product and why

I love our new ‘Jaguar’ egg, dressed in timeless animal print it adds something different and unique to Easter! 

3. Which product is your bestseller?

Our reusable Christmas baubles filled with chocolate truffles, they can be made fully bespoke too.

4. What makes your business special?

I’m incredibly grateful that my children inspired me to start my business. They still love being involved in the design process and sharing their product ideas. From a consumer’s perspective, I know how hard it can be to find unique and sustainable Easter and Christmas gifts. That’s why I’m proud to say we fill that gap 

5. Do you have any tips you’d like to share with other businesses?

If it was easy to run your own business everyone would be doing it, hang on in there!
